SERVICE
TO RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS
1. Emergency/Crisis Intervention and Damage Limitation.
This would be in response to a crisis involving welfare and care
aspects that require immediate attention.
2. Investigation of Welfare and Care Issues for both boarders
and day pupils. These may be on behalf of the school or the parents.
3. Care and Pastoral Staff Group Issues. This may involve
group or individual counselling.
4. Care Team Building - to ensure that welfare is actively
promoted.
5. Conflict Resolution. This may be to assist resolution
of conflict between the School and other parties.
6. Advocacy. This could be on behalf of pupils, parents
and others.
7. Advice and Support for parents and other interested
parties.
8. Pupil and Staff Counselling. This may be on a regular
planned basis, or as one-off, short input, as needed.
9. Recruitment Interview Support To assist the selection
of staff with the best attributes to promote good care.
SERVICE
TO CHILDREN'S RESIDENTIAL ESTABLISHMENTS
1. Staff Support.
This can be on an individual or group basis.
2. Team Building. To ensure that team cohesion and function
along with good practice and communication are maximised.
3. Independent Investigation of Welfare Concerns for when
an impartial view is needed.
4. Independent Case Conference Chair Service. For a balanced
overview.
5. Management Support. For independent advice and supervision
6. Advocacy for Children/Staff. For when the message needs
to be heard.
7. Meeting Registration Criteria for New/Existing Homes for
liaison/negotiation with the regulatory authorities
8. Recruitment Interview Support. To assist with the selection
of staff with the best attributes to promote good care.
