Hello, I am Adam Tasker, the Founding Director of The Manor Consultancy. I have a career spanning 25 years of working with people in various settings.

I live in Oxford with my family and am Oxford trained and qualified in Social Care and Management. I have first hand experience of work in the Community, Residential Care and Criminal Justice. I have also managed Field Social Work teams as well as Residential Establishments. I have also worked as an independent Inspector under The Children Act, with experience of Boarding Schools as well as Children's Homes.

I believe that my broad knowledge of working with and counselling people compliments my commitment to assisting people and organisations to cope with change and develop. I have worked with individuals, families and groups and counsel people of all ages and backgrounds.

I have a wide knowledge of how to access help and networks of other complimentary professionals, both male and female. I have previously worked with offenders of all ages and have a wide knowledge of drug and alcohol problems.

This means that in consulting with The Manor Consultancy, you are able to benefit not only from my expertise, but also that of my associates.

You are assured of my personal attention at all times.

I do not ascribe to any particular school of thought, but I do believe that people are best served by a broad, generic approach, thus getting the best from all of the available methods of working with people.

On a one-to-one level, I believe in "walking a little of life's path alongside a person" in order that they develop, grow and move forward.

On a professional level, I strongly believe that good service should be offered in a human and dependable way.

I think that maturity; care, humour and respect for my fellow human beings are essential values for life.

The establishment of The Manor Consultancy was made as a direct decision that in the climate of shrinking care availability through the state, that it should be available independently, in a form that is easy and quick to access.
